Environmental, Healthy, and Safety Manager – Manufacturing (Newberry, SC)

Newberry, SC

Are you ready to make an impact in manufacturing safety leadership? RL Enterprise is partnering with a leading global manufacturer to hire a EHS Manager for their Newberry, SC facility. This role is ideal for an experienced safety professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about building a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the site’s health and safety strategy, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies for safety-related matters.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, risk assessments, and safety performance metrics.
  • Drive initiatives that reduce workplace risks, improve training programs, and ensure proper use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set site-specific safety goals and embed accountability across all levels.
  • Oversee investigations of incidents, near misses, and workers’ compensation claims, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Lead safety committees, conduct training, and foster employee engagement in safety practices.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to review equipment, processes, and capital projects for safety compliance.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of relevant safety experience in a manufacturing environment (Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, NFPA regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EHS systems is a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Certification such as CMSE or related credentials.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies, VPP, or OHSAS 18001.
