Packaging Operator - 2nd Shift Opportunity 15 Premium

Two positions are available on the 2nd shift, from 2 : 48 PM to 11 : 18 PM. Training will occur during the 1st shift, from 6 : 48 AM to 3 : 18 PM.

Summary : Prepare finished product for packaging and shipment which includes the building of crates, inspection, weighing, labeling, and documenting. This is an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the group leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Construct crates and / or boxes to properly and securely hold products for shipment.
• Weigh and label packages as required.
• Inspect packages to ensure they meet shipping regulations.
• Monitor and inspect finished good products throughout the packaging / crating process.
• Read and compare packaging & paint requirements to print / specs.
• Visually inspect parts during packaging / crating and take any necessary actions to correct imperfections.
• Perform testing and complete documentation as required by the customers.
• Monitor and communicate inventory concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
