Role description : Arcadis is seeking Entry Level Water Engineers to join our team in Wakefield, MA. The focus of this role will be on water / wastewater projects, providing the Entry Level Engineer with opportunities to work on water supply, treatment, distribution, and wastewater collection and treatment systems.

Role accountabilities

As an Entry Level Water Engineer, your responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks related to evaluation, planning, design, and support management of water / wastewater treatment and conveyance projects. This includes pipelines, treatment facilities, and pumping facilities. You will exercise judgment on engineering details, and participate in preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. You will engage in fieldwork such as site visits, construction inspections, sample collection, water quality analysis, asset inventory, setting up and monitoring flow monitoring systems, evaluating technologies, and gathering information on plant operations.

You will support professional engineering services during the construction phase, including construction observation, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and ensuring permit closeouts. Your contributions will help ensure successful execution of water resources projects and maintain high-quality standards throughout the process.

Additional responsibilities :

  • Coordination with manufacturer's representatives and contractors.
  • Support Asset Management projects performing data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments and overall performance evaluations of water / wastewater / stormwater facilities.
  • Preparation of reports, presentations, cost estimates, and participation in client meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, and other process modeling and engineering software.
  • EIT certification.

The salary range for this position is $56,798 - $90,876 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
