Responsible for moderately complex tax planning and compliance responsibilities. Activities include preparing tax reports, responding to audits, and inquiries from governmental bodies in a manner that minimizes tax liabilities or researching tax issues and developing effective tax strategies for the company. Works on activities and projects with others within the business unit. May lead small projects and coordinate resources. In some cases, will act as team leader.
Lead and support sales and use tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Provide consulting insights on sales tax matters to internal stakeholders
Assist with business license registration and renewal processes
Conduct tax research and interpret laws, rules, and regulations
Maintain accurate tax records and documentation
Collaborate across departments to ensure tax compliance and operational efficiency
Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
Required Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Hands-on experience in sales tax consulting and compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Clear and effective communication skills
Desired Skills :
Experience with business license registration and renewals
Familiarity with tax research tools and interpreting tax laws
Prior experience in an accounting firm or similar professional services environment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
Minimum Education Requirement : Bachelor's degree in related field

Pay Transparency details US - IL - Chicago - 540 W Madison St - Bank Of America Plaza (IL4540) Pay and benefits information Pay range $73,200.00 - $92,400.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
