What does a PKC Teacher do?

As a Full Time PKC Teacher at Child Advocates of Blair County, you'll be the creative architect of a developmentally appropriate learning curriculum tailored for children ages three to five. Your mission is to design engaging and dynamic activities that foster intellectual, language, social-emotional, and physical development, all within a safe and healthy environment. Are you the PKC Teacher we're looking for?

To thrive as a Full Time PKC Teacher at Child Advocates of Blair County, you’ll need a BA or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, along with an Instructional I Certification (preferred) to ensure you’re equipped with the latest teaching strategies. A passion for working with young children and the ability to create a developmentally appropriate curriculum are crucial for success. Strong communication skills will help you effectively engage with both children and parents, fostering supportive relationships. Additionally, adaptability and creativity are essential as you navigate the dynamic classroom environment.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :
