About The Position
Job Title : Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist

Experience : Minimum of six months of related experience
License : Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Certifications : BLS
Must-Have : Chronic Venous Insufficiency
Description :
Responsible for diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasound.
Provides cardiologists with measurements and accurate images of cardiac structures.
Ensures accurate diagnosis for effective treatment intervention.
Provides immediate feedback with preliminary reports of critical results.
Assists physicians with studies and complex procedures to minimize risks.
Performs advanced cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
Conducts adult and pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures.
Reviews relevant patient data and reports before procedures.
Operates equipment necessary for obtaining optimal diagnostic recording.
Utilizes selected transducers and digital networking systems effectively.
Exercises judgment in notifying abnormal results to the reading physician.
Documents all procedures accurately in departmental tracking processes.
Processes charging and necessary data efficiently and accurately.
Collaborates to maintain departmental efficiency.
Anticipates needs in equipment and supplies.
Supports unit and hospital goals through quality assurance and educational activities.
Maintains current competency and registry in specialty practices.
Participates in departmental quality assurance processes.
Modifies behavior to align with departmental goals.
Maintains compliance with policies and standards.
Practices infection control and promotes safety for all.
Maintains confidentiality of patients, employees, and corporate information.
Effectively collaborates with all members of the healthcare team.
Demonstrates independent judgment in decision-making.
Communicates effectively with healthcare staff regarding ultrasound results.
Ability to serve in an on-call rotation after regular business hours.
