The Position

Job Summary : Under general supervision, supervises and teaches aquatic activities at a community swimming pool; and performs related duties as required.

Work Schedule : Varies from Sunday-Saturday from 7 : 00 am-9 : 00 pm.

Essential Duties

Enforces established rules and regulations governing the safe use of pools.

Monitors the swimming pool and surrounding area in order to prevent emergencies.

Rescues bathers as necessary.

Renders CPR and first aid as needed.

Maintains and cleans the pool and surrounding area.

Prepares reports of rescues or unusual occurrences.

Interprets current policies and procedures to the public.

Qualifications

Education and Experience : Completion of formal education sufficient to assure the ability to read and write at the level required for successful job performance.
