Job Summary

Twin Maples Specialty is seeking a dynamic and experienced underwriting professional to join our wholesale commercial casualty underwriting team as an Underwriter. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in underwriting and a strong understanding of wholesale commercial casualty underwriting principles. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting commercial insurance applications for our wholesale clients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite commercial insurance applications for wholesale commercial casualty accounts in accordance with established underwriting guidelines and procedures.
• Analyze and interpret data to determine risks and potential exposures.
• Determine appropriate coverage and pricing for each policy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with underwriting team members and other departments to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Monitor the performance of accounts and make recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and guidelines.
• Travel to and complete marketing / sales meetings in assigned territories.
