Case Picker And Reach Truck Operator

The Case Picker and Reach Truck Operator is responsible for accurately picking and staging cases for shipment using a reach truck and other material handling equipment. This role ensures timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining safety and inventory integrity in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Mixed shifts are available, and successful candidates can start working immediately after passing the machine operation test.

Responsibilities

  • Maneuver reach trucks in narrow aisles and high racks efficiently.
  • Accurately pick cases based on order sheets or RF scanners.
  • Ensure correct product counts and minimize shrinkage.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Navigate digital systems for tracking and updating inventory.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in reach truck operation.
  • Experience with RF scanners.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
  • Certification in forklift / reach truck operation.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Time Management : Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail : Ensures accuracy in picking, labeling, and staging orders.
  • Basic Math Skills : Useful for counting inventory and verifying quantities.
  • Communication Skills : Clear communication with team members and supervisors.
  • Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Adaptability : Comfortable working in changing environments.
  • OSHA Forklift Certification : Preferred or required for operating powered industrial trucks.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in Logistics or Distribution Centers.
  • Knowledge of Lean or 5S Principles.
  • Bilingual Abilities : Especially Spanish / English.

    Work Environment

    Work in a warehouse setting that may include extremely cold storage or ambient temperature zones. Shift-based work is available, requiring flexibility for day, night, and weekend shifts.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00 / hr.
