About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Specialty : Mother Baby Unit

Duration : 15 weeks

Shift : 3rd Rotating shifts if needed, primary shift being night shift (19 : 00 - 07 : 30). Every other weekend.

Hours per Shift : 36.00 hours guaranteed

Experience : Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience required. Experience with caring for postpartum patients and management of postpartum hemorrhage, cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, magnesium sulfate, and breastfeeding.

License : Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) is required.

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required. Academy of American Pediatrics NRP certification is required. Additional coursework or certifications in Client-Newborn Nursing and / or Inpatient Obstetrics are highly desired.

Must-Have : Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of mother-baby antepartum and nursery areas.

Description : The Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.

This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population.

The RN must have experience with postpartum patients, including both mothers and infants.

Essential functions are adapted from the nursing scope and standards of practice.

Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, but an Associate's degree in nursing is required.

The role may require floating to care for the same patient population as needed.

Holidays may be required if contracted during peak periods.

This position may require rotating shifts and availability for weekends.
