Certified Medical Assistant (Houston)

Job Summary

The attendant is responsible for assisting the OR team with equipment and supplies necessary to perform surgical procedures. They are the first responder to equipment needs; and are able to troubleshoot equipment. Attendants function under the direction; instruction; and supervision of the OR supervisor. Attendants have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities; surveys; improvement initiatives; and continuing education.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education : High School or equivalent

Minimum Work Experience : No previous experience

Required Licenses / Certifications : BCLS Certification within 30 days of hire

Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities :

• Maintains professional appearance at all times.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
