Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Care for high-risk obstetric patients from a culturally diverse population Responsibilities include circulating on C-sections Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18 : 00–6 : 30) with every other weekend required Floating required between like units and to affiliated hospitals Use of Epic EMR is required Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year First time travelers are accepted for this position RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with application; excess RTO may affect selection Must comply with 50 mile radius rule for eligibility Return staff must have at least 3 months gap before returning as a traveler Dress code allows any solid scrub color, typically Royal Blue or Navy Free parking is provided on the first day, with assignment parking given during orientation Completion of pre-start training modules is required Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of application Minimum of 1 year labor and delivery RN experience required Current certifications required : ACLS, BLS, and NRP Documented Epic EMR experience required Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year in the specialty within the last 3 years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626150.
