Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 30 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Position : Registered Nurse - Cardio Thoracic ICU Location : Pinehurst, NC 28374 Unit : Cardiovascular Thoracic, 106124 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) / Weekend Coverage : Every Other Weekend Job Requirements & Qualifications : Experience : 1 year of cardiac ICU experience, with specific experience in fresh open-heart patients . Travel experience required. Previous charge nurse experience is not mandatory but a plus. Certifications : ACLS and BLS required. Preferred certifications include : IV therapy PICC line management Arterial line management Ventilator Management Post-cardiac surgery care (CABG, valve replacement) Skills : Expertise in cardiovascular procedures and ventilator management . Experience with continuous IV sedation , cardiac drips , and titration of vasoactive medications. Knowledge in interpretation of dysrhythmias , and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure . Ability to assist in chest tube management , chronic respiratory therapies (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC), and other complex respiratory interventions. Charting Systems : Epic (Required).
