This full-time position offers a chance to contribute to a 231-bed regional referral hospital, participating in a dynamic inpatient program. Position Details : Position Type : Full-time, providing stability and professional growth. Hospital Setting : Join a 231-bed regional referral hospital, contributing to the well-being of the community. Electronic Medical Records : Utilize Epic EMR for efficient patient care and record-keeping. Inpatient and Outpatient Integration : Participate in a vibrant inpatient program, with the outpatient practice located in the same department as the Geriatrics Practice. Call Rotation : Engage in an inpatient weekend call rotation, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Work Schedule : Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm), offering a balanced and predictable schedule. Collaborative Role : Serve as the primary collaborative physician for two Palliative Care Inpatient NPs and a NP specializing in transitional care within the outpatient clinic. Alternative Collaboration : Act as an alternative collaborative physician for two NPs focusing on geriatric medicine within the outpatient clinic. Medical Equipment : Utilize advanced medical equipment, including EKG machines, Sophia-Flu, Covid Reader, and A1C testing. Experience : Apply your experience with working alongside APPs and managing end-of-life and chronic illnesses. Compassionate Care : Demonstrate compassion for ill patients and their families, contributing to a supportive healthcare environment. Qualifications : Board Certification : Board Eligible or Board Certified in Palliative Care. Experience : Previous experience in inpatient and outpatient palliative care medicine is desired. Licensure : Hold an Indiana Medical License to practice medicine in the state. Certifications : Maintain BLS / ACLS certifications to ensure patient safety.
