Job Summary
The Project Manager III position works under minimum supervision of either the Senior Project Manager or Construction Division Manager. This is a senior level project manager position responsible for managing other lower-level Project Manager positions and site employees. This position is typically assigned projects of diverse scope and performs a variety of complex level construction project management functions on all activities associated with assigned construction projects.
Primary Job Functions
- Perform complex construction and project management for all assigned projects.
- Perform construction and project management administration functions, handling a variety of actions and problems relating to assigned projects. Prepares and analyzes project fund status reports, reviews billing procedures and contractual requirement submittals.
- Manage project work plans designed to accomplish contractual objectives and provide direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades and crafts.
- Prepare analysis of new projects for consistency with proposals and negotiations. Reconcile inconsistencies between proposals and new projects and analyze the effects of proposed project changes. Provide management assistance with the coordination and negotiation of project changes.
- Stay current with government regulations and commercial trends. Monitor project compliance requirements to ensure compliance with Service Contract Act as necessary and other Federal regulations as required.
- Participate in strategic planning meetings on assigned projects.
- Provide direction on staffing related issues; approve staffing requests and new hires for assigned projects. Work with the Director and Corporate Human Resources regarding employee complaints, performance issues, salary increases, and terminations.
- Responsible for safety of all personnel on job sites, including subcontractors, and compliance with environment standards and quality of work performed.
- Schedule work to be performed and manage overall project completion time based on the project plan. Communicate with customers regarding any deviations from the schedule.
- Assist in the development of agendas for pre- and post-job conferences where applicable.
- May share responsibility on negotiations of key agreements on all assigned projects.

Education, Experience And Certification
Required : Bachelor's degree in construction management, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, with eight years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the role.Required : Experience in government contracting, general construction and financial administration.Required : Knowledge of U.S Government procurement Regulations and labor laws.Preferred : Experience with RMS 3.0Required : Six years supervisory experiencePreferred : PMP CertificationKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Must pass OSHA 30-hour safety course.Must pass Corps of Engineers CQM class for contractors.Must pass ASHE HCC certification class.Excellent management and employee relations skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.Ability to work independently and recommend solutions to problems.Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Projects.Superior attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while attending to multiple tasks and demands.Previous RMS experience preferred.People Management : Yes
