We are seeking to hire full time employee to work for local company in Hopkins County, Kentucky as Telecommunications Technician for an established business.

Job Summary

A Telecommunications Technician is a skilled professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of communication system. This includes bother physical infrastructure (cabling, wiring, fiber optics) and the electronic equipment (VoIP phones, network switches, access control systems). The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can handle a wide range of tasks, from terminating network cables to programming and troubleshooting complex systems. This role is critical in ensuring reliable voice, data, and security networks for businesses and clients.

Required Qualifications :

1. High School or GED equivalency

2. An Associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred

3. Experience in low-voltage installation, telecommunication, or a related field

Skills required :

Strong knowledge of TCP / IP networking and low-voltage electrical systems

Proficiency with relevant tools (cable testers, punch-down tools, and crimpers)

Excellent problem-solving skills

Ability to read and understand technical manuals and blueprints

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members

Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds

Valid driver license with clean driving record
