Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room for a PM shift assignment requiring a GA or Compact RN license and at least 18 months of OR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Operating Room (OR) within a hospital surgical unit
  • 12-hour PM shifts
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Patient population includes general and cardiac / vascular surgical cases
  • Focus on endovascular, cardiac, and vascular procedures
  • Former perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning, 18 months if returning to the same facility
  • Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility
  • RTO (time off) is limited to 5 days unless it coincides with a holiday, in which case a maximum of 3 days applies
  • Only one holiday off request is permitted
  • Requests for multiple consecutive days off around holidays will not be approved

    • Requirements

  • Active GA or Compact RN license must be in hand
  • Minimum 18 months of operating room experience required
  • For CVOR roles, at least 18 months of recent full-time CVOR experience within the last 3 years is required
  • Strong cardiac, vascular, and endovascular case experience required
  • Must achieve top skills ratings for cardiac and vascular procedures
