Expectations of this position :
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating company-owned machinery in a safe and effective manner. They must be able to demonstrate safe operation of the assigned equipment. Operator is expected to use his / her experience and judgment to make decisions considering safety and efficiency.
Duties :
Ensure all safety requirements and codes are implemented and met by all team members
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
Understand means and methods to safely perform assigned tasks
Understand and ensure the safety of team members
Monitor and track field data as requested by the superintendent
Maintain required daily paperwork
Operate heavy equipment
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life in accordance with company policies and procedures
Perform daily pre-inspections : identify problems or defects that need to be corrected, and report problems or defects immediately
Heavy Equipment includes (but is not limited to) : Excavator, Dozer, Off-Road Truck, Motor Grader, Backhoe, Roller, Reclaimer
Compensation Package :
Hourly position based on experience : $16.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience
Medical benefits available after 60 days of full-time employment

Education / License :
High School Diploma / GED (Preferred)
OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)
CPR / First Aid Training (Preferred)
