As a Patient Care Technician you will be a crucial member of our collaborative nursing care team, delivering hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. Your support brings comfort, dignity, and connection to those who need it most and helps make our mission to improve lives a reality for patients every day.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth procedures and recovery
  • Providing non-medicated care like dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
  • Keeping patient areas, operating rooms, and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
  • Managing supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to keep the team ready and protect patients through infection control
  • Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team while promoting safety and quality efforts

WORK SCHEDULE : MONDAY - FRIDAY 10 : 30AM - 2 : 30PM. No nights, holidays or weekends. Upon hire, must be able to attend orientation 8a-5pm first 2 weeks of employment.

What qualifications you will need :

  • A minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.
  • Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant License required or completion of the HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
  • BCLS certification required upon hire. With no hospital-based experience, must be able to attend the PCT Essentials training (M-F 8a 5pm first 2 weeks of employment).
  • Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson Countys only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Womens & Childrens healthcare services. We offer the regions only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
