Security Professional - Retail Mall Patrol

As a Security Professional - Retail Mall Patrol in Rome, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment, while your customer service skills will help foster positive interactions. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remain visible to the public, and communicate clearly with both team members and guests. Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM Sat 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM Sun 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any irregularities.
  • Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns specific to the retail environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
