Overview
Commercial Lines Account Manager (Fully Remote) – Insurance Office of America. This role is fully remote with potential on-site requirements per policy for certain locations. A dedicated, distraction-free workspace is expected.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
- Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolve complex issues, and ensure accuracy of information.
- Technical competence and continued industry knowledge.
- Direct daily activities of the account management team.
- Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
- Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
- Monitor accounts receivable, address delinquent balances, and collect outstanding amounts.
- Maintain agency management systems and carrier / vendor platforms with data accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion; maintain open communication with the account team regarding workload and issues.
- Deliver service excellence, anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to service requests.
- Stay updated on company policies and procedures; seek continuous improvement and best practices.
- Demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industryThorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needsActive property & casualty licensing required; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skillsProficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)High School Diploma (or equivalent)What We Offer

The expected pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year, depending on experience, relevant skills, and geographic location.
