Description

The Teacher Assistant Float provides classroom coverage and support to the early learning classrooms at Carroll Children's Center and Growing Hope Child & Family Development Center. The role of the Teacher Assistant Float is to be available on a part-time basis to cover for classroom shifts that vary between the hours of 7 : 00am-5 : 45pm. The Teacher Assistant Float supports the classroom team with implementing a developmentally appropriate classroom that supports children's language, physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities :

Under the direction of the assigned Lead Teacher, create and maintain a safe and healthy environment

• Report needed repairs and maintenance to assigned classroom staff.
• Provide a safe, developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor learning environment
• Apply health standards and care for the children and classroom

Under the direction of the assigned Lead Teacher, support with planning & provide curriculum through normal care giving routines

Maintain open, friendly and cooperative verbal and written communication with each child's family

Under the direction of the assigned Lead Teacher, foster positive guidance, engagement and communication in the classroom

Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff

Continuing professional development

Participate in Center activities and other duties as requested

Physical Requirements :
