Hospitalist Job - Tawas City, Michigan AVAILABILITY / SCHEDULE :

  • Position Type : Full-time Days
  • Shifts : 12-hour shifts, 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM
  • Census : Up to 15 patients plus new admissions and rapid responses
  • Reason for Recruitment : New position due to growing community need

LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS :

  • Degree : MD or DO
  • License : Michigan medical license (or eligible to obtain)
  • Certifications Required :
  • AHA-approved BLS
  • AHA-approved ACLS

    • CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Medical management of inpatients
  • Admission orders and H&P documentation
  • Respond to rapid response calls
  • Medical consultations, including co-management of surgical patients
  • General inpatient admissions
  • Procedures required :
  • Paracentesis
  • Thoracentesis
  • Tunneled Dialysis Catheter (TDC) placement
  • Chest tubes
  • Central lines
  • Medports
