A Technician Apprentice is a trainee automotive mechanic who works under the supervision of an experienced mechanic. Their duties include using power tools and machinery to fix automotive problems, repairing engine and mechanical parts and replacing worn or broken components.

Technician Apprentice duties and responsibilities

• Performing minor diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Reading car manuals and following manufacturer-specific vehicle checklists
• Carrying out routine maintenance such as oil changes or battery testing and replacing worn parts
• Using power tools and equipment to replace or repair damaged components
• Ordering parts as required
• Observing and learning from senior mechanics to build industry knowledge and skills
