American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of hospital experience and current ARRT (CT) and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a computerized tomography department within a hospital settingShifts are Monday to Friday from 2 : 00 pm to 2 : 30 am, with one weekend per month (every 4th weekend) from 6 : 00 pm to 6 : 30 amNo call is requiredBlock scheduling is not availableTravelers may float to a nearby sister hospital as neededRole involves transporting patients to and from the emergency departmentProcedures include administering intravenous contrast media, use of power injectors, and assisting radiologists with complex sterile procedures such as biopsiesWork may take place in a fixed hospital unit or ambulatory mobile unitPACS and RIS systems used for imaging and study indexingPerforms all aspects of CT imaging including protocol selection, patient preparation, and quality image acquisitionExplains procedures to patients and prepares them for examsPrepares and maintains procedure rooms and suppliesAdministers and monitors patients for reactions to contrast mediaFollows all principles of radiation protection and ALARAAssists the radiologist with complex, sterile diagnostic proceduresCompletes all documentation in medical record and radiology systemsExpected to demonstrate high standards of excellence, open communication, and respect for diversityCompletion of online onboarding modules prior to start is required and completed onsite approximately one week before assignment beginsPersonal scrubs requiredTime off requests must be stated prior to assignment; post-offer requests are subject to management approval\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years CT experience in a hospital settingAssociates degree in Applied Science in Radiology requiredCurrent BLS certification from American Heart AssociationCurrent ARRT registration in Radiography and advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT)Active MI (Michigan) Radiology License required for consideration; license required if applicableExperience or training in peripheral IV insertion requiredStrong communication, teamwork, and customer service skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to lift and / or move equipment or patients in excess of 10 lbsCOVID vaccination required\n Benefits\n
