NICU RN Job Details Location : San Antonio, TX 78251 (Texas healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Unit : Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – Level III or IV experience preferred Shift : 12 Hour Days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM) Hours per Week : 36 Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 9 / 2025, End : 2 / 7 / 2026) Employment Type : Full Time, On-Site Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680 NICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state Current BLS certification (AHA required) Current STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation / Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) Current NRP certification (AHA required) Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a NICU or neonatal nursing specialty (Level III or IV preferred) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Completion of all annual competency verification requirements NICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates and families in a Level II-IV NICU setting Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administer medications and treatments per clinical protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and nursing care provided Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of NICU patients and families Educate patients, families, and caregivers on neonatal care plans and available resources Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team Participate in ongoing competency and skills validation for NICU nursing Apply now to join our San Antonio healthcare team as a NICU Registered Nurse (RN) and make a difference in neonatal care!
