We are looking for an entry-level IT Support Specialist with distinguished customer service skills and some knowledge about basic computer systems. We are a telecommunications company in Cold Spring, KY that provides IT solutions for the correctional market with a primary focus on the County Jail System.

We are a small, but agile, team of IT professionals focused on providing the highest level of service to our customers.

Responsibilities

You will be working within a close team environment. The candidate can expect to be interacting with Inmates, Sheriffs, Jailers, and various other correctional staff as well as our own technicians via phone calls and emails. Over the phone support will vary from basic troubleshooting of Combined Public Communication systems, password resets, creating troubleshooting tickets, and more, to advanced troubleshooting such as complex investigation of an inquiries and requests involving our products / services.

An ideal candidate will be very comfortable with over-the-phone support, has prior help desk or call center experience, but is still looking to grow their skill set. They need to be a quick learner of proprietary systems and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Skillset

  • Communication skills with technical and nontechnical people
  • Working independently and in team environments
  • Work in person and over the phone to solve issues
  • Track support tickets and manage your time
  • Microsoft Office - including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and, Outlook
  • Quick learning of proprietary systems and web pages

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of related experience in customer service or help desk or equivalent.
  • Must be punctual and driven to meet required task deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • ALL season, reliable transportation is required
  • Hours : Full-time (30+ hours) positions available. Shifts currently available are : 4pm-midnight, Tuesday-Saturday.
