About The Position

Job Title : CT Technologist

Description :

Provides a variety of technical procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation.

This position requires independent judgment and technical skills to produce the best possible radiography for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities include performing CT and X-Ray examinations.

Produces radiographs using proper technical factors and evaluates each film for proper exposure and positioning.

Schedules exams and properly instructs patients on preparations for exams.

Sets up and organizes rooms for any radiographic procedures.

Accountability :

The Imaging / Radiologic Technologist reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager.

Astute communication skills with employees, physicians, visitors, patients, and administration.

Ability to adjust to job situations that involve many different people and projects, requiring independent action and judgment.

Ability to problem-solve and deal with diverse personalities.

Ability to work alone, make independent decisions, and adapt to emergency situations.

Communicate both orally and in writing with peers and professional staff.

Must be sensitive to the needs of patients and coworkers.

Is able to recognize and provide quality service.

Physical :

Flexibility to work in continually changing conditions.

Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment.

Ability to lift and move patients with or without assistance and maneuver equipment greater than or equal to 20 pounds.

Agility is required for frequent changes in position.

Visual and hearing acuity required to receive feedback and information from patients.

Periods of stooping, standing, bending, moderate lifting, and generally oriented patient care are included in this position.
