Level II Service Technicians are essential members of our team, offering reliable and experienced service to our customers. Their primary responsibilities include experienced installation, maintenance, and service to our customers' facilities. In this role, they are expected to demonstrate a positive attitude, encourage each other, and instill confidence in our customers regarding their proficiency in delivering efficient service. Additionally, they play a supportive role in assisting those with less or differing experience and fostering growth within the team.
Communication Understand what is being asked and update the Lead on what has been completed and what still needs to be finished
Responsive Service Respond promptly to service calls as required by the Lead
Efficient Service Efficiently troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning dairy equipment
Completed Service Paperwork completed on farm; Parts returned to proper inventory location
Emergencies Accountable to answer and respond timely to after-hours calls
Appearance Professional personal and vehicle condition
Attitude Demonstrate a positive outward attitude towards the Excel team and customers
Teaching Patiently teach alongside the team as they acquire new skills
Training Learn the refrigeration process and earn EPA universal certification
Team Work together and share responsibilities and workloads to support the team
PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS :

- Handling of Equipment and Supplies : Competence in handling, pushing / pulling dairy equipment and hygiene equipment and supplies.
- Language Proficiency : Proficient reading, writing, understanding, and communication skills in English.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS :
Fast-paced working environment.Onsite conditions may vary, including exposure to cattle, noise, and machinery hazards.Exposure to fluctuating weather conditions, among other environmental factors.DEFINED JOB DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND EXPECTATIONS :
Effectively and efficiently repair broken and / or malfunctioning dairy equipment using instruments, tools, and reasoning techniques to diagnose and resolve equipment, machinery, and system problems.Properly complete and submit all paperwork in a timely manner by adhering to company procedures and timeframes for thoroughly filling out Work Orders, Expense Reports, and Purchased ItemsSell the customer the necessary repair parts, equipment, and machinery to ensure efficient operation by conducting thorough troubleshooting and repair of the machinery, equipment, and systems.Consistently maintain a professional image with customers by dressing appropriately, practicing socially acceptable personal hygiene, and keeping both the inside and outside of the company vehicle clean and well-organized.Participate in Service Calls After Hours and Emergencies by responding to customer requests for service between 4 PM and 7 AM during the week and providing around-the-clock support on weekends in a rotational schedule with other service technicians.Learn refrigeration systems while working toward obtaining an EPA Universal License. Gain hands-on experience by assisting with on-farm maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, building expertise in the field. Prove your skills and reliability to establish yourself as a capable and experienced refrigeration technician.Communicate timely and effectively with co-workers and customers by utilizing good written and verbal communication skills, promptly returning all phone calls and messages initiated during the workday, and addressing emergency calls as soon as possible.Be on time for meetings and scheduled commitments (communicate any delays or necessary changes asap)Encourage workplace harmony and teamwork by demonstrating courteous, assertive, and professional behavior, maintaining a positive attitude towards the job, customers, co-workers, and the company.Continuously enhance professional skills and personal attributes by attending staff meetings, educational seminars, and other relevant events. Improve technical and professional competence through ongoing education, setting and achieving personal goals, and developing problem-solving and leadership skills.Support company goals by staying informed about company issues and policies, participating in planned social and business events, and providing management with pertinent industry and competitive informationAccept other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS (Acceptable combination of the following) :
Education and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent.Completion of relevant technical training courses such as refrigeration, electrical / electronics, welding, plumbing, etc.Industry or relevant experience as an Installation, Maintenance, or Service Technician.Skills and Abilities :
Thorough understanding of dairy milking equipment operation, installation, and repair.Proficiency in using repair tools, resources, and techniques.Knowledgeable in the proper use of specialty tools, instruments, and equipment necessary for troubleshooting and repairing dairy milking equipment.Ability to develop positive relationships and rapport with team and customers.Requirements :
Possession of a valid State Driver’s License with an approved driving record
