HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Akron, Ohio.

Job Description & Requirements

• Duration : 13 weeks
• 48 hours per week
• Shift : 12 hours, nights
• Employment Type : Travel
• ACLS requird
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected;
• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care;
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit / department;
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures;
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse;
• Performs a variety of tasks;
• Communicate and educate patients and families;
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team;
• Carries out physician orders;
• Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs;
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required;
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition;
• ACLS requird
