Medical Office Receptionist - Celebration FL

As a PRN Medical Office Receptionist, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Celebration, FL. This is a PRN, as-needed position. In this role, you will work 10-hour shifts following one of the schedules below :
- Shift A : 7 : 00 a.m. 5 : 30 p.m.
- Shift B : 8 : 30 a.m. 7 : 00 p.m.
A weekend rotation may also be available.
Experience in a medical setting is preferred. What You'll Do :
Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts, including generating chart numbers, filing, and pulling chartsAnswers telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel, or initiates a triage slip for response by medical personnelSchedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler.Conducts reminder calls to all patientsGreets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitorsRegisters patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient's chartCoordinates referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices or specialistsPrepares all billings in computerized system for processing by financeCollects payment from patients and reconciles daily cash reportsLooks for ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughnessAbility to identify and solve problems in a timely manner; gathering and analyzing information skillfully, developing alternate solutionsExceptional interpersonal skills; listening skills are essential while remaining open to other ideas and trying new thingsConducts self with professionalism and in a tactful manner, treating others with respect and considerationFollows through on commitmentsStrong customer service orientation, responding quickly and appropriately to customer needs, and managing difficult or emotional situationsDemonstrates ability to perform and maintain Annual CompetenciesMay require other duties as assigned.
