Position Overview :We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced _Project Manager / Estimator_ to take full ownership of projects—from estimating and bidding to inspecting final installation and closeout. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with both field and office experience who thrives in a dynamic, small-business environment.
- Key Responsibilities : Estimating & Preconstruction :
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and site conditions to prepare detailed estimates.
- Conduct material take-offs and solicit vendor / subcontractor quotes.
- Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals.
- Collaborate with clients, general contractors, and architects during the pre-bid and bidding phases.
- Project Management :
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee projects from award to completion.
- Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and monitor progress.
- Procure materials and ensure adherence to design and quality standards.
- Conduct site visits and meetings to ensure work is progressing according to plan.
- Communication & Documentation :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with shop personnel and installers to ensure timely and accurate fabrication and installation.
- Qualifications :
- 3+ years of experience in ornamental metal or structural steel estimating and / or project management.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Proficient in estimating software, Microsoft Office, and CAD or drafting tools (preferred).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small business setting.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Preferred Skills :
- Familiarity with welding and fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of local building codes and installation practices.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.

Pay : $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
