About the position

We are looking for an AI Engineer to join our artificial intelligence team at our Porto Alegre office. As part of the AI department, the selected candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of AI-powered products for Azion's platform and participating in the company's internal AI projects.

Develop solutions to enhance automation and internal efficiency at Azion;
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to integrate AI technologies into our products and services while optimizing internal processes;
Validate, evaluate, and monitor AI project behavior to ensure compliance and enhance performance;
Participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices in software development and AI model implementation according to Azion's standards;
Experiment with cutting-edge AI techniques to assess their effectiveness in our projects;
Fine-tune open AI models to specialize them for our challenges;
Create and collect datasets for model training.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields;

Proven experience in developing and implementing ML / Generative AI models;

Experience in building AI-powered applications;

In-depth knowledge of machine learning and deep learning frameworks and tools (Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, Notebooks);

Experience in fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs);

Proficiency in Python, with a strong focus on AI / ML libraries;

Experience with prompt engineering and context optimization;

Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and computer vision techniques;

Experience working with language model APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, etc;

Experience in data collection and dataset creation;

Experience with TypeScript is a plus;

Postgraduate degree, Master's, or Ph.D. in AI-related fields is a plus;

Knowledge of edge computing and model optimization with quantization for edge environments;

Experience in process automation using AI;

Advanced English.
