American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of cardiac-focused experience, active ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification, and strong teamwork skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Hospital-based position working primarily in the nuclear medicine departmentPerforms nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures including planar, SPECT, and SPECT / CT scansHeavily focused on cardiac imaging and works in partnership with the stress labMonday through Friday, day shifts from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PMConducts quality assurance by ensuring high-quality scans and performing required quality control on equipmentPrepares and positions patients, ensuring adherence to radiation and patient safety protocolsEducates patients about exams and radiation safety, and ensures patient comfort throughout proceduresSafely handles and administers radiopharmaceuticals and maintains compliance with radiation disposal guidelinesCollaborates with colleagues, radiologists, and other care team members for seamless patient careResponsible for image transmission to PACS and adherence to electronic medical record workflowsExpected to wear hunter green scrubs, which must be purchased independentlyApplicants previously employed as perm staff at the facility may require additional eligibility verification\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year experience in nuclear medicine, with cardiac emphasisActive ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification requiredBLS certification requiredActive TX license required if applicableTMB certification requiredAbility to work independently and collaboratively with a clinical teamSubmission of two professional references is requiredFlu vaccination required during flu season (August–November) with no exemptions allowedApplicants must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility; no local travelers are accepted\n Benefits\n
