Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with 9 beds

    • \n

  • Patient ratios : PICU 1 RN to 1-2 patients; Stepdown 1 RN to 2-3 patients

    • \n

  • Must work 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule

    • \n

  • Self-scheduling available

    • \n

  • Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed

    • \n

  • Required certification : PALS

    • \n

  • 1 year PICU experience required

    • \n

  • Work with Alaris pumps and Cerner documentation system

    • \n

  • Unit has Health Unit Coordinator working 9 AM to 9 PM and shared tech support

    • \n

  • Perform IV starts, catheter insertions, assist with lumbar punctures, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management

    • \n

  • Dress code : All navy, all white, or navy pants with white tops

    • \n\n
