The SSM I serves as a strategist and liaison for the Communications and Public Relations (PR) Division, working with other Covered California divisions and vendors to develop, evaluate and optimize digital content for related and integrated web products, such as the chatbot and the online enrollment portal, to attract, engage and serve current and potential Covered California enrollees. This role is responsible for relationship building and establishing website publishing processes across the organization, and ensuring all content is strategically aligned with the company’s goals and effectively engages target audiences.

Qualifications We’re Looking For :
3+ years working in digital communications, with experience in consumer-facing content or user-centered content. and assisting in the development of content strategy
Experience developing and overseeing website publishing workflows, identifying content issues, and supporting content strategy through data analysis
Proven experience in content governance, style guide implementation, version control, editorial workflows, and managing multilingual content or translation processes
Excellent communication skills : demonstrated ability to work across internal teams and divisions to help ensure a consistent and seamless consumer journey and experience, and the ability to collaborate with a large variety of stakeholders
Experience with project management processes and tools, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of and experience creating content for California’s diverse population, with an understanding of how to communicate effectively across different cultural, linguistic, and regional contexts. Bilingual skills a plus
Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, and others
Skilled in leveraging web analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics to inform content strategy and performance optimization
Strong understanding of UX / UI best practices and responsive web design to enhance user engagement across devices
Experience in using A / B testing and content personalization tools to optimize user experiences and drive results
A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Web Design, or a related discipline is preferred, but not required
