Director of Operations - Early Learning Center

We are looking for a dynamic Director of Operations to oversee the business functions of a thriving early learning center. This pivotal role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and team engagement-all while creating an environment where children, families, and staff flourish.
As the Director of Operations, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Education to deliver a seamless balance between academic quality and operational success.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage all non-classroom operations , including staff scheduling, PTO tracking, vendor management, and facilities oversight
- Drive financial performance : monitor tuition revenue, review P&Ls, and implement cost optimization strategies
- Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards in alignment with DECAL, Quality Rated, COGNIA, and NAEYC guidelines
- Champion enrollment growth by conducting family tours, leading parent onboarding, and executing retention strategies
- Oversee marketing and community outreach to build visibility and strengthen brand recognition
- Manage HR processes, including documentation, performance reviews, and professional development plans
- Build a culture of staff engagement and retention through recognition, accountability, and leadership coaching
- Maintain positive and lasting family partnerships that support loyalty and long-term enrollment
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field ( Master's preferred )Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in licensed childcare or preschool operationsStrong background in business operations, HR leadership, and family engagementProficiency in childcare management platforms and financial reporting toolsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated knowledge of early learning compliance and accreditation standardsWhy Join Us?
