Job Overview : The Senior Product Owner – Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud will be responsible for driving requirements gathering and managing our clients’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation projects. With 15 years of proven experience in B2B Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions, this role requires a deep understanding of enterprise-level marketing operations and customer engagement strategies. Key responsibilities include understanding organizational needs around Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud, identifying and capturing business requirements, configuring and troubleshooting solutions, documenting user stories, and ensuring they are effectively communicated and understood by business stakeholders. This role will bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring successful implementation and adoption
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Meet with clients to analyze their work practices and understand the nature of their businesses to properly define needs and customize marketing solutions using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud platform.
- Act as the primary point of contact between marketing teams and development teams, ensuring alignment of marketing objectives with technical capabilities
- Develop and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value, stakeholder feedback, and market trends
- Lead or collaborate with Scrum Master on sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint review sessions, effectively communicating priorities and expectations to the development team
- Work closely with marketing analysts to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Provide guidance on best practices for email marketing, automation, personalization, and customer journey mapping within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Monitor campaign performance and user feedback, iterating on features and functionality to optimize results and drive continuous improvement
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, with experience leading Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint review
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach, able to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Ability to work with clients to design customer journeys, and associated data models. Extensive experience with Marketing Cloud Studios & Builders, most importantly Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder and Automation Studio and ideally also Cloud Pages and Mobile Studio, Data Cloud, Advertising Studio, Social Studio & Google Analytics
- Good understanding of Marketing Cloud Application editions such as Engagement, Growth, Advanced & Next with licensing, SKUs and usage limits
- Experience in Agentforce for Marketing Cloud agents
- Understanding how to build a preference center using Salesforce Core and Marketing Cloud
- Experience with integrating with Salesforce CRM (Sales & Service Cloud, Communities)
- Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and be a good team player.
- Guide the implementation and provide oversight for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform and adhere to best practices.
- Gather and translate business needs and assess data required to launch campaigns.
- Understand and validate the details of deliverables as provided by vendor and project resources.
- Evaluate existing project management processes and drive continuous improvement practices.
- Develop clear, efficient and repeatable processes.
Requirements
Required skills and experience :
A minimum of two (10 to 15) years of experience working with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud; candidates must have completed at least 5 or more Marketing Cloud projects including non-salesforce.Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environmentProven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environmentDesire to work in an information systems environmentExcellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skillsExcellent leadership and management skillsExceptional ability to interpret / analyze business needs and translate to technical requirements.Knowledge of integration design for data flows between systems.Ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Excel.Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification is a plus.Data Cloud Consultant Certification is a plusAgentforce Specialist Certification is a plusEducation :
