Schedule : Monday-Thursday 7 : 00am-5 : 30pm

Duties / Responsibilities :

The High School Instructor is present in a regular classroom setting, monitoring online instruction in high school diploma classes.

Facilitates completion of online high school diploma classes

Supports students in communication with online instructors

Establish a high degree of student / instructor rapport and create a positive atmosphere to promote student engagement

Maintain a high degree of accountability within the classroom

Document student attendance, performance, progress, and behavior

Maintain adequate classroom cleanliness

Effectively relate to the student population and recognize student success in the classroom

Adhere to all data integrity measures related to classroom instruction and testing

Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements :

Minimum : Bachelor’s degree in Education. State certification is required.

Preferred : One year in a teaching capacity with disadvantaged youth.

Knowledge Required : Knowledge of required subject area, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, excellent organizational skills, must obtain and maintain CPR / First Aid Certification, ability to motivate and inspire students, ability to effectively relate to student population.
