Auditor
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Auditor to work with our Office of Risk, Assurance and Compliance team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule ONSITE in Idaho Falls with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities include :
- Conduct and complete audit risk assessments and develop audit testing programs to be performed to answer audit objectives for each assigned audit. Ensure test procedures are completed within established time frames while complying with IIA Global Internal Audit Standards, Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards, and BEA Internal Audit Procedures.
- Gather and analyze information, document, and complete work papers, and use automated auditing tools and techniques such as TeamMate, PowerBI, and Excel.
- Develop written audit programs for each assigned audit that clearly identifies the audit objective(s), steps to be used in answering the audit objective, and how audit resources will be used. Ensure workpapers are clear, concise, and logical with adequate analysis to support the audit conclusion.
- Manage audit engagements taking into account the budgeted time for each audit and the audit's schedule.
- Communicate with management, audit staff, and stakeholders in a professional and productive manner.
- Lead efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of audit techniques and approaches.
- Conduct special assignments as requested.
- May provide direction and review audit work conducted by audit staff to ensure the work is compliant with professional standards and IA procedures. Serve as a trainer / mentor for new staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements :
Bachelor of Science in accounting, auditing, or related degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of relevant experience or a Masters and 2 years of relevant experience.Experience commensurate with level which includes experience in accounting or an Internal Audit capacity.Must be proficient in data analysis and proficient in the use of automated auditing tools and techniques.Proficient at organizing and prioritizing work to accomplish assigned tasks.Advanced degree in Accounting, Auditing, or relevant degree from an accredited institution.Proficient understanding of cost accounting (bases, pools and the calculation and application of indirect rates).Expert knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Federal Travel Regulations, Internal Audit Standards, and Cost Accounting Standards.Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)Job Information :
The pay range for this position is salary grade 430 ($65,064-$133,416). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, use hands to handle materials, manipulate tools, type on a keyboard, reach with hands and arms, and operate job related equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 35 pounds without assistance.
