Effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members. Assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes, exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions, and maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department's strategic goals and objectives.\n\nDemonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his / her own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Contents are subject to change at the company's discretion.\n\nEducation\n\nRequired - Registered nurse diploma.\nPreferred - Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing.\n\nWork Experience\nRequired - None.\n\nCertifications\n\nRequired - Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.\n\nCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.\n\nCrisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification.\n\nCertification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.\n\nPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.\n\nPreferred - Certification in clinical specialty area.\n\nKnowledge\n\nSkills and Abilities\n\n(KSAs)\n

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.\n
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.\n
  • Good organizational skills.\n
  • Good time management skills and ability to be self-directed.\n
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement.\n
  • Good interpersonal skills.\nJob Duties\n
  • Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.\n
  • Assesses learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines.\n
  • Communicates, delegates and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.\n
  • Utilizes data, information and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.\n
  • Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.\n
