Associate Creative Strategist / Jr. Art Director (Must Have Retail Experience) J

Overview Role : Associate Creative Strategist

This is a junior-level creative strategy position within Retail vertical, ideal for someone with a design and art direction looking to grow in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

You’ll work closely with Sr Creative Strategists to support pre-sale efforts, helping develop visual mocks, pitch decks, and creative concepts for external clients. This role is not production design—we’re looking for someone with a Junior Art Director mindset who can think conceptually and visually.

Responsibilities Collaborate with sr strategists to create visual mockups and pitch materials for client RFPs.

Translate strategic ideas into compelling visual storytelling for retail advertisers.

Handle 2–3 creative assignments at a time, managed on a rolling ticket basis.

Use tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to build mocks and decks.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns.

Ensure deliverables are well-organized, on-brand, and aligned with timelines.

Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in Graphic Design or Art Direction (Junior-level experience).

Strong conceptual thinker with ability to develop creative ideas independently.

Skilled in visual storytelling, pitch construction, and deck development.

Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Must have experience in a creative agency or in-house marketing team.

Retail experience is a plus, but not required.

Must have a portfolio showcasing relevant work (Canva / Adobe + corporate experience).

This is not a copywriting role—copywriting experience is fine, but the focus is visual.

Candidates without a portfolio or relevant software skills will not move forward.

Opportunity While not guaranteed, there is potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs. You’ll gain exposure to one of the largest media platforms, working across hundreds of retail advertisers and learning how creative strategy drives media spend.

About the Team You'll be joining a collaborative and creative group made up of four Senior Strategists and one Creative Strategy Lead focused on the Retail vertical. The team sits alongside two other sectors—Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Emerging Markets—providing cross-functional exposure. In this role, you’ll primarily support senior strategists in the development of client-facing creative concepts, visual assets, and pitch materials, contributing to high-impact initiatives across the retail space.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00 / hr.
