Position Summary

Graduate Medical Education Program Manager who manages, implements and oversees all education programs including the residency and sub-specialty fellowship training programs in the Department of Pathology; serves as the liaison to faculty and organizations inquiring about the Department of Pathology's education programs; develops and establishes policies and guidelines; implements, oversees, and enforces policies and procedures as they relate to the programs; collaborates with Department leadership to ensure compliance of residency and fellowship programs with ACGME and the OSU GME office; oversees and implements required changes to programs; plans, conducts, and oversees program evaluations and studies; plans, conducts, and oversees internal and external reviews / reporting for accreditation purposes; oversees the contracting and credentialing process for incoming residents and fellows; plans, oversees, and coordinates interview and orientation days; works with recruitment team to review and determine qualified candidates to interview; In partnership with Department Finance Manager, develops and manages annual program budgets; administers approved budgets; monitors, reviews, and authorizes expenses related to the programs recruitment and activities; plans, develops, and implements new, novel, and innovative education initiatives to positively impact and grow programs; serves as liaison to student inquiries of application and program requirements; analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data for fellowship candidate evaluations; partners with Department leadership in the creation of new fellowships to meet the needs in the changing landscape of academic healthcare; Hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates support staff and student worker.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 6 years of relevant experience required. 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred. Experience in program planning and administration is required; experience and knowledge of medical education and fellowship training program requirements and guidelines required; experience in organization of program materials desired; computer literacy required with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
