OR Tech – First Assist Job Details

Location : Clarksville, TN (zip 37040) – Tennessee healthcare jobs

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1470–$1580 per week

Setting : Operating Room (First Assist)

Job Type : Travel contract

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shifts : 4 shifts / week, 10-hour days (06 : 45–17 : 15)

Call Schedule : Two weekday evening calls (5p–7p) and one overnight call (5p–7a) per week; weekend call (5p Friday–7a Monday) every 6 weeks

Holiday Requirement : One holiday during assignment

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1

Number of Beds : 12

EMR System : Cerner

Scrubs : Provided

Qualifications for OR Tech – First Assist

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program

Certified First Assistant (ASA or NBSTSA) – required

Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical scrub tech or OR Tech

Documented First Assist experience in the operating room

BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required

Must reside more than 50 miles from the Clarksville facility

Travelers must submit all required documentation

Key Responsibilities

Assist surgeons as a First Assist during operative procedures in the OR

Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and equipment

Perform surgical scrub duties and manage surgical instruments

Participate in scheduled call rotation

Work collaboratively with the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care

Follow all safety and infection control protocols in the operating room
