Are you passionate about youth development, team leadership, and creating safe, engaging spaces for kids to thrive? The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region is looking for a driven and compassionate Assistant Unit Manager to help lead one of our vibrant Clubhouse locations.
What You’ll Do :
As the right hand to the Unit Manager, you’ll play a vital role in :
Leading People : Supervise and support a dynamic team of part-time staff, cultivating a culture of teamwork, growth, and accountability.Supporting Youth : Be the go-to leader for addressing youth behavior needs with empathy and professionalism. Collaborate with our Emotional Wellness Team to guide members toward success.Managing Resources : Assist with facility operations, staffing schedules, food service coordination, and safe transportation logistics.Making Magic Happen : Help plan and execute Club events—from fun Fridays to community-wide celebrations—while modeling our mission and values every step of the way.What You Bring :
Adaptability : Ability to multi-task and be flexible with changing priorities based on staff, member needs, and deadlines.Communication : Strong interpersonal skills to connect with youth, communicate with stakeholders, and tackle challenges with a growth mindset.Independence & Teamwork : Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.Resourcefulness : Comfort working in a fluid environment focused on continuous improvement.Experience : 1+ year working with youth in a Boys & Girls Club or similar setting.Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.2 years or more of experience in youth programming and youth guidanceDemonstrated ability in staff supervision and facilities managementBilingual (a plus!).Budget, facility, and operations management knowledge.Why You'll Love Working With Us :

Schedule : Full-time / M-F; School Year 11 : 30am to 7 : 30pm, Summer 7 : 15am to 3 : 30pm / 9 : 30am to 5 : 30pm rotating
Pay : $36,000-44,000, based on the degree of experience you bring to the position.
