AVERA MEDICAL GROUP MCGREEVY

  • Avera Medical Group McGreevy is seeking a BE / BC pediatrician physician to join a group of 10 physicians in a growing practice.
  • McGreevy Clinic was founded in 1968 and merged with Avera McKennan in January 2006
  • Main clinic is located on the Avera McKennan campus
  • 50 physicians in 5 specialties practicing at 11 satellite clinics supporting the surrounding area
  • Call would be 1 : 11, shared equally with the pediatricians (nursery call)
  • The physicians are employed by Avera McKennan and receive a very generous benefit package.

  • 545-bed facility
  • Over 600 physicians on staff in all specialties and 6,000 employees
  • Service encompasses a population of 800,000
  • Non-profit, Catholic facility and the regional referral center for the Avera Health System and surrounding five-state area
  • A full range of services offered, including Careflight airplane and helicopter air ambulances, Level II Trauma Center, open heart surgery, the region's only program for kidney, pancreas and bone marrow transplants, one of the finest birthing centers nationwide with perinatologists, Level III NICU with neonatologists, PICU with pediatric intensivists, CARF accredited rehabilitation services and a full spectrum of mental health care.

  • The Avera Children’s team consists of over 35 pediatric specialists
  • On the campus of Avera McKennan Hospital
  • Join a skilled, multi-disciplinary team of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, case managers, social workers, dietitians, lactation consultants, patient educators, Child Life Specialist and a Family Support Specialist.
  • A total of 110 beds are devoted to the care of infants, children and adolescents in our Pediatric Unit, PICU and Level III NICU and Avera Behavioral Health Center
