LPN / RN School Based

Location : Erie County, PA

Overview :   Seeking LPN / RN school nurse for student support within the school setting. This position also could include bus support to and from school and accompanying on field trips.

Compensation :   LPN - $31, RN - $35

Job Responsibilities :

• Conducting student hearing and vision screenings
• Educating students on hygiene and safety practices
• Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
• Verifying vaccination records and maintain state vaccine reports
• Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected
• Administering first aid and CPR
• Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes, and bruises
• Contacting parents when students are ill or injured

Requirements :

LPN or RN nursing license in state of PA

CPR & First Aid Certification

Knowledge of any state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.

Demonstrates clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communication, and compassionate.

Ability to demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor when working with children
