Seasonal Full Time Van Driver
Schedule / Hours : Monday to Saturday 9 am to 11 : 30 am and 4 : 30 pm to 7 : 30 pm
This position is responsible for : Drives vans or trucks (non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps / Area Command, Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts, Christmas kettle program, transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites. Ensure the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
Key Responsibilities :
Mental and Physical Abilities : Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to operate the physical energy required to performing duties given. Ability to perform general cleaning activities for building. Ability to safely transport employees in a van. Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism. Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and / or push / pull moderate 25-50 lbs. and possible heavier materials and donations.
Working Conditions : Work is performed outside with exposure to changes in weather and outdoor conditions including dirt, dust and / or disagreeable sights and odors. What We Are Looking For In You :
Education and Experience : High School diploma or GED Minimum of two years driving experience.
Licenses and Certifications : Valid Texas Drive's License.
