• Weekend Requirement : Every 2-3 weekends\n
• Float Requirement : None\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Psychiatric RN in an adult psych setting\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State (required at time of submission)\n
• BLS certification (required)\n
• CPI certification (can be obtained on site if not currently active)\n
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system (required)\n
• Charge RN experience in adult psychiatric care (required)\n
• Prior travel nursing experience (required)\n
• VA psychiatric nursing background required\n
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination or declination required\n\nPsychiatric Nurse Responsibilities\n
• Serve as charge RN on the Adult Psychiatric Unit, overseeing patient care and unit operations during night shifts\n
• Utilize Cerner EHR for accurate documentation and care coordination\n
• Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to adult psychiatric patients\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including students and new hires, in a teaching hospital environment\n
• Mentor and support students and new staff members to foster a positive clinical environment\n
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, behavioral health standards, and safety protocols\n
