A leading healthcare staffing group is currently seeking Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to join its Emergency Response Division in Louisiana . This role offers the opportunity to support rapid statewide deployments in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).

About the Opportunity :

  • Shift : Day (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM) or Night (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)
  • Schedule : 12-hour shifts; flexible assignments
  • Deployment Locations : New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Thibodaux, Hammond, Monroe, Bossier City
  • Start Timeline : Ability to deploy within 48 hours of notice
  • Setting : Emergency preparedness and disaster response environments

Responsibilities :

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for :

  • Conducting patient assessments and monitoring cardiopulmonary status
  • Administering respiratory treatments and managing oxygen therapy
  • Providing ventilator management and emergency airway support
  • Performing diagnostic evaluations and supporting chronic disease management
  • Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Acute Care, Critical Care, Emergency Room, Medical-Surgical, Behavioral Health, or related areas
  • Active, unencumbered Respiratory Therapist license (Louisiana compliance may be required)
  • BLS / CPR certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in respiratory care and patient assessment
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, emergency environments
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

    • Desired Skills :

  • Prior experience in emergency response or disaster relief settings
  • Additional specialty certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP)
  • Strong adaptability and critical thinking skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach
